Prakhar Avasthi, a former hockey player at the national level, has always been a targeted person. When he realized how much weight he had increased in three years-the IT professional based in Delhi knew that he had to make some drastic changes to the lifestyle.
“I was very active until the college and enjoyed doing sports. When I started working, I was busy and could never find the time,” says Practar. Long hours at his desk, paired with poor food selection and irregular meals, rose to 84 kg. Family and friends soon expressed concern about his weight gain. Practar itself could not shake the feeling of severity. “I was lethargic all the time,” he recalls, and that was enough of a wake -up call.
When searching online for a fitness plan, the app down via HealthiMe in May 2016. A day later he received a call from the HealthiMe diet coach Sapna Sangtani. “Sapna asked about my daily meal plan and asked me to make some small but very useful changes. For the beginning, she asked me to drink about 3-5 liters of water a day. She explained that most of us often confuse my thirst with hunger and in the end you eat a lot more. Exercises he could follow.
Within a week after she followed her suggestions, Practar felt that his energy level rose. Excited from the possibilities, he was upgraded to the Healthofyme premium plan and received a tailor -made and detailed daily nutrition and training routine.
“I always thought it was expensive to eat healthy, but I was wrong.”
Sapna set up a diet plan that was simple and concentrated on food that was already cooked in practical vegetarian home and ingredients that were easily available. “I always thought that it was expensive to eat healthy, especially when you read, such as lean milk and avocados, etc. are advantageous for weight loss, but everything Sapna suggested was already in my kitchen. I just didn’t eat it,” he says.
Sapna broke out of a strong routine for the breakfast dinner dinner and introduced Practar in two-hour intervals into smaller protein and fiber-rich meals. To prevent meals from becoming monotonous, Sapna changed the plan at regular intervals. While she has not stopped him from eating away-he recommends that he eats fixed portions on the other side-has set it to eat only homemade food in the past five months. “Entry to HealthiMe not only changed my food habits, but also the people around me also eat healthier,” he says.
“Every morning I trained how my endurance increased from day to day.”
The former athlete found that he returned to a fitness plan, especially in view of his full work plan. That is the main reason why he chose home training routine. “Probhars fitness levels were fine. After starting him on distances for a few weeks, I gave him a cardio, resistance and district training plan,” says Sreererh and explains that a combination is important to increase the muscle mass of lean muscles and reduce the fat content.
He asked for a practical to invest in dumbbells, kettlebells (for resistance training) and a Swiss ball (also known as a practice ball for cardio). “The kettlebell and Swiss ball training are my personal favorites because you can imitate you with you at home,” says Sreederh, who has changed the training plan every 4-6 weeks to prevent practical loss plateau from reaching.
Practored, together with the video screenings that Sreemanth watched, and felt how his perseverance increased from day to day. “I used to wake up early and waste time on my phone. Now, from 5.30 a.m. to 7 a.m., I go depending on the plan. After training, I feel vigorous all day,” he says.
“My trainers deserve the honor of being vigilant and motivating me to stay on the right track.”
Practar attributes to his trainers Sapna and Sreeranth that they are vigilant and motivated him. “Sapna calls me regularly to check how my diet works, and when I am too busy to accept the call, she drops a message on WhatsApp and asks me about my meals,” says Practar, adding that Sreeräth is planning the exercise routines for his full schedule. The trainer puts the loan back into the corner of his customer. “Practical success is 100% a result of his commitment. You don’t always find people who are as inspired as he is,” says Sreederh.
With 72 kg, three kilos below its target weight of 75 kg, Practar is now working to maintain his health. He is also interested in inspiring others into a healthier, fitter life. “When people see how much weight I have lost, they want to know that I do it. I am happy to share my experiences because I want to motivate others to do the same. People should know that it is not difficult to lose weight,” he says. “You don’t have to follow fitness, it is how you have to live your life. I learned that after joining HealthiMe.”
